My heart always flutters when I am cooking and serving the dishes I made to my dearest friends and family π
I always look for recipes that not only easy to make, yummy or tasty but also definitely have health benefits.
So here are some key-points of health benefits to main ingredients π€
– Chicken breast an excellent source of low-fat protein.
– Back bacon contains less fat than streaky bacon.
– Mozzarella has lower sodium and calories than most other cheeses. It also contains probiotics that may boost your immune system.
Alright, let’s start!
Recipe inspired by Twisted
INGREDIENTS:
4 large chicken breast
1 tbsp salt or even lesser the better
1 tbsp pepper
1 tbsp oregano or any Italian mixed herbs
1/2 cup pizza sauce (in my case, I used Pasta Sauce Basilico – but you can use even like tomato ketchup or banana ketchup)
1 packet sliced mozzarella
Roughly 2 packs back bacon, stretched out with the blade of a knife. Take note that bacon will be wrapped to chicken breast, so make sure you have enough baconβ¦
P.S. Do not get pressure or panic when you’re cooking, it should be fun, exciting and full of joy. As long as you’re following the right measurement of the ingredients, you should be able to make a delicious meal β£οΈ
DIRECTIONS:
- Place each chicken breast between cling film and bash them with a rolling pin to flatten them out, then season with salt, pepper, and dried oregano.
- Spread each breast with pasta sauce and top with mozzarella, then roll-up the breast and place another sheet of cling film…
- Holding the edges roll it all up into a tight bundle then leave all four to chill in the fridge.
- Take one of the chicken parcels and place half the bacon out in a cross shape. Place the chicken parcel in the middle and fold over the sides to form a neat package.
- Bake at 180Β°C for around 50 minutes until cooked through. Use a toothpick to check the meat doneness.
- Serve with salad and crackers (alternatives: roasted potato, roasted vegetables)
