Some of you would know that my husband and I still currently stranded here in Manila since 26th March all the way from Boracay since 17th March (Being stranded in Boracay and the Recovery Flight to Manila during COVID19). And fortunately, with the help of my ex-colleague, we managed to find a place to stay while waiting till Singapore relaxes their measures for COVID19.
Of course in the beginning it was tough for my husband and I to think that weβre stranded and here, we are going to stay temporarily, God knows how long but we have to somehow deal with it right? And that obviously includes my cooking. To be honest, it was quite a challenge in the beginning coz living room and kitchen – in one space. My husband and I need to get used to it. However, it didnβt become a hindrance for me to continue cooking or making something home-made. In fact, itβs helping me to still be creative out of my comfort zone (not bigger kitchen space and no oven) and come up still with something easy, quick, and yet yummy dish, desserts, or snacks.
With this snacks – definitely no cooking or baking skills required to make it. And on top of that, very minimal ingredients you need for No-Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter balls.
So, letβs get started π©πΌβπ³
What kitchen stuff you need?
You need medium bowl, spatula, food grinder or rolling pin (if you have at home, or else you can use your hands – this meant to crush your biscuits), spoon, and measuring cups.
Ingredients
β’ 2-3 tbsp of your Peanut Butter Choice (I used local product Lilyβs Peanut Butter
β’ 7-10 pcs of biscuits of your choice ( I used McVitieβs Wholesense Biscuits)
β’ ΒΌ cup Chocolate Chips (I mixed the dark and milk chocolate from Goya Chocolates)
For Melted Chocolate
β’ 2 Tbsp of Butter
β’ ΒΌ cup of Chocolate of your choice (I used the same as above)
Instructions
- Using your food grinder to crush your biscuits. If you donβt have, nothing to worry either
* put it in a kitchen cloth or strong plastic bag and crush the biscuits using the rolling pin.
* put it in the kitchen cloth or strong plastic bag and crush it using your hand. - Add 2-3 tbsp of Peanut Butter and mix together till blended.
- Next, add your chocolate chips and mix again altogether till all blended. As you can see, I used the ice cream container that we previously bought (reduce, reuse, recycle π β€οΈ).
- Using tablespoon, half size scoop, shape the peanut butter mixture into balls and roll in remaining crushed cookies until evenly coated. Place the finished balls in the plate, store it in the fridge for about 1hr to firm.
My version was quite big as I initially scoop and shape it with 1 tbsp size π
- Melt the chocolate with butter in a microwave for about 2-3mins medium power. Or put the cup with chocolate and butter on top of boiling or hot water pot/pan. Stir until melted and smooth.
- Dip the balls into melted chocolate, once fully coated either place it in a parchment paper or plate.
- Let it cool down and set for 2hrs. Then, ready to serve.
Or once cool down, put it back in the fridge and set for 2hrs before serving.

And there you have it, didnβt take me more than an hour to prepare this delicious Chocolate Peanut Butter balls. Except of putting it in the fridge to set of course π. Hubby approved the taste (not because heβs biased π). But I must admit, I myself – really happy with the outcome of the taste. Not too sweet and just nice to fill-in your tummy during your afternoon snacks. Perfect to serve with coffee or your preferred hot beverage too.
Give it a try and let me know what you think… I would love to hear it from you πππ
